In the year 2010, Imtiaz Ali made a film with Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone named Love Aaj Kal. In this film, two stories were seen running simultaneously, one of Saif Ali Khan and one of Rishi Kapoor. After 10 years, Imtiaz Ali has made a film with the same name and on the same theme with Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan. The story of this film is of the youth of 2020 whose relationship status is mostly complicated. Imtiaz Ali has become so complex in this complex that this film does not touch our hearts for long. 

Love Aaj Kal Movie Review: Story

The film moves forward by taking the story of 1990 and 2020 together from the beginning. Sara Ali Khan in the role of Joi, a girl of today's era, who wants to pass time with boys but does not want to get into a serious relationship as she feels that a serious relationship will be a hindrance in her career. One day she meets Veer (Karthik Aryan), but Karthik refuses to have a physical relationship with her in the first meeting but follows her. Wherever she goes, she also reaches there. Joi is also upset with her but Randeep Hooda narrates her story, the love story of Raghu and Leena (Karthik Aryan and Aarushi). Randeep narrates his story to her and makes her realize that she should not lose Veer.

Love Aaj Kal Movie Review: Star Cast

The specialty of Imtiaz Ali's films is that the love story of the hero and heroine of his film is complicated, the hero heroine is confused about her life. In this film, the heroine finds it impossible to balance her career and love at the same time. But here viewers like us think that what is so complex, nowadays most girls balance love and career together and do it very well. Sara Ali Khan has become very loud at many places in the film, her acting was very weak according to the story of the film. Karthik Aryan also does not impress much in the role of Veer. Yes, we like the story of Raghu and Leena. The facial expression of Aarushi, who plays Leena, is amazing. She says a lot with her face. The one who I liked the most in the film is Randeep Hooda. Whenever he comes on screen, it seems that only his story continues. There is definitely a spark in Randeep's chemistry with Sara. But it seems that he did not get as much talent as Randeep has.

Sara Ali Khan's look and clothes are quite impressive in the film, but she needs a lot of hard work in acting right now. There is a lot of drama in the film, many scenes take more than required overs.

Love Aaj Kal Movie Review: Music

The music and songs of the film are amazing. The lyrics and music of songs like 'Maybe', 'Ya Main Galat', 'Dooriyan' are superb. Irshad Kamil and Pritam deserve congratulations.

Love Aaj Kal Movie Review: Direction

Imtiaz Ali's direction has been average. All I have to say to Imtiaz Ali is that he is now getting fed up with his films. It must have been challenging to present a film which has already become very good by recreating the theme of the same film and presenting it with a new story, but when you have seen the best acting of Saif and Deepika and the best love story of Love Aaj Kal So you will not be able to impress Sara Karthik's Love Aaj Kal. So if you do not have a good plan for Valentine's Day then you can watch this movie. 2 out of 5 stars from ShaniReviews.
