Hungama 2 Movie Review:
Along with Shilpa Shetty, Priyadarshan has also come back through this film. But the comeback of both will be called fail.
Hungama 2, which was in a discussion about Shilpa Shetty's comeback, has been released on the OTT platform Disney Hotstar. After watching the film, when the review is done, usually after seeing each side, there is a discussion about what was good and could have been done well. But after watching Hungama 2, the first question that can be asked is why and with what thinking did a director like Priyadarshan make this film?
It was expected that after a gap of eight years, Priyadarshan would come up with some such splendid Shahkar for which he is known. All these things are missing this time in Priyadarshan's Hungama 2, who has become a master in the genre of situational and the neat comedy of error.
After watching this film, you will also know where Priyadarshan went wrong, who made great comedy films like Hungama, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Hera Pheri, Garam Masala, Chup Chup Ke and Malamaal Weekly.
Hungama 2 Movie Review: Story
The film's story is composed by adding small tales of many films, and everything is anticipated in the sense that the viewer keeps on knowing what is going to happen next and what can happen. With time, the style of comedy has changed, and the audience, which has become accustomed to watching web series on OTT, now needs commercial cinema in a very tight manner. But this is not the case with Hungama 2, and it can be said that Priyadarshan has not been successful this time.
The story of the film has been seen many times. The heroine and the estranged hero try to get her sister's child back to her real home. The child's confusion and another family also gets added to the confusion in this confusion. If the comedy of error is shown properly, it is sure to burst out laughing, but if nothing like this happens here, the audience can be disappointed.
Hungama 2 Movie Review: Why Shilpa Shetty
Why did Shilpa Shetty choose such a film for the comeback in which her role was negligible? Although she certainly looks very beautiful, her fit body impresses along with her beauty when she looks. They're still pretty slim trim. But her pairing with Paresh Rawal is not suiting at all. Paresh Rawal, on the other hand, has repeated his old pattern. There is nothing new in his acting. You will remember Salman Khan's film Ready; Paresh Rawal has adopted the same attitude here.
Hungama 2 Movie Review: Why Meezaan Jaffrey
Meezaan Jaffrey looks handsome, but he has to focus on acting. There is no emotion on his face. Be it happiness or sadness, anger or laughter, they have been seen reacting the same way.
Hungama 2 Movie Review: Why Ashutosh Rana
Ashutosh Rana is also in an important role in the film, but there is a lot of loudness in his role. That is, when they look anxious, it seems quite artificial. Looking at Rajpal Yadav, age is taking over him, and now he is starting to misfit in doing such roles for which he is known.
Hungama 2 Movie Review: Why Praneeta Subhash
The most enjoyable and memorable aspect of the film is Praneeta Subhash. Panetta has done good acting at the beginning of the film, and she can go ahead provided she chooses the right script and focuses on good roles. Actors like Manoj Joshi and Tikku Talsania were also unable to do anything in the film, and he just looked like a joke.
Hungama 2 Movie Review: Why Akshay Khanna
Akshay Khanna, who was the hero of the superhit Hungama in 2003, found it pleasant and bad to see him in the film for two scenes. He looks very weak, and he was missing the carefree, heartwarming laugh and style he is known for. After the success of Hungama, Priyadarshan seems to have used her as a lucky charm.
Hungama 2 Movie Review: Songs
The songs of the film will fall in the category of average. The music is by Anu Malik, and Sameer pens the lyrics. But if something is worth listening to, then the song Hungama Ho Gaya sung by Mika Singh at the end of the film… It can be thought that the rest of the songs will be forwarded due to the film's length. Camerawork can be praised, but loudness can be called another villain to spoil the fun of the film.
Hungama 2 Movie Review: Why Dialogues
The issue of dialogues is also a matter of concern. Somewhere I don't understand why this has been said. What was the need to get the abuse out of the hero's mouth in front of the children? The use of abusive words and abuses at many places in the film is absurd, and what was to be proved by this is beyond comprehension.
The story of Satan finding a teacher for the children and driving him away by the children is picked up from Sanjeev Kumar and Jaya Bachchan's film Parichay but does not impress as much.
There is a lack of editing in the film. The script will be weak, and the dialogue writer may have written the dialogues under stress. Only then the dialogues of comedy are not visible in the comedy film.
Overall, it can be said that thankfully the film was released on OTT as there is no box office rush here. Had the film been released in theatres, the audience and the distributors would have been disappointed.
