Badhaai Do Movie Review:
Once again the pair of Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkumar Rao have appeared together. Both have played sensitive characters in 'Badhaai Do'.
Due to the third wave of Corona, films are being released on OTT this year. Along with this, the film has started releasing in theaters as well. Two Bollywood movies have been released on Friday. One of them is 'Badhaai Do' by Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar. In the year 2018, 'Badhaai Ho' came which also got the National Award. It is being said that this film is his sequel.
After watching the trailer of 'Badhaai Do', it was known that what is the story of the film. The film tells the story of gay and lesbian. Hindi films have already come about this subject. But no one had told the story openly in this way. 'Badhaai Do' seems to be making its point on this issue in the best way.
Badhaai Do Movie Review: Story
At PT Teacher and Police Officer are the main characters of the film. Sumi or Bhumi Pednekar as a PT teacher and Shardul (Rajkumar Rao) turn into a police officer. Both of them are gay. Both are afraid to bring their truth in front of the society. They also bear the pressure of marriage of their family-relatives.
Both come from families in Uttarakhand where they cannot freely express their sexuality. Now in such a situation, there is nothing but challenges in front of both of them. Now both of them make a plan to overcome the pressure of marriage. After mutual agreement, both get tied in the bond of marriage. They think that getting married will give them relief. But the problem of both gets worse.
If we talk on this basis, then the story of the film is working to keep the audience engaged. The film is going to get a strong tadka of comedy and punchlines. Overall, the film can be seen with family.
Badhaai Do Movie Review: Directing and Acting
Bhumi and Rajkumar are seen together for the first time. But the tuning between the two looks good. Both seem successful in keeping the audience engaged. Both look fit in gay characters.
The film's supporting cast Bhumi's partner Chum Darang and Rajkummar Rao's partner Gulshan Devaiah can make you happy in this film. At the same time, artists like Seema Pahwa, Nitesh Pandey, Sheeba Chadha etc. are also not going to disappoint. Harshvardhan Kulkarni has directed the film 'Badhaai Do'.
