Actress Parineeti Chopra's most awaited film Saina has been released today. It is the biopic of badminton sensation Saina Nehwal. Parineeti Chopra is playing the lead role of Saina Nehwal in the film. Parineeti has worked hard to become Saina in the last few months; she is seen in the film. Let us know how the film is.
Saina Movie Review: Story
The film tells the story of Saina's exploits in 2015 and her struggle and courage in the badminton world. Saina's journey from childhood till now has been shown well. How Saina learns badminton, her parents support her in her training, how Saina rises to the top despite being from Haryana, bypassing all social barriers. How does she create a proud moment for the country?
Little Saina's spirit and what makes her number one. Parineeti has made a sincere effort to bring all this to the screen with great enthusiasm, which is her priority while playing for the country. The film is made in a very decent manner since Saina's life has also been straightforward, and hence no attempt has been made to add glamour to the film.
Saina Movie Review: Acting
As far as the characters' acting is concerned, Parineeti has tried to give her best. Her expressions look precisely like that of Saina. The days and nights she worked together to look rough like Saina, bypassing her charming beauty, have been seen to be fruitful.
The acting of Nisha Kaur, who played Saina in her childhood, is also commendable. His innocence captivated me. Talking about the rest of the characters, Paresh Rawal, Manav Kaul, Meghna Malik, and Ankur Vikalbhane have also done commendably. These actors have played the supporting role very well.
Saina Movie Review: Plot
Talking about the plot, it is a biopic in general. Director Amol Gupte has tried his best to put all the proud moments of Saina Gupta in one film, just like there was a film on Dhoni.
Along with Saina in the film, there is one more thing to note. And that is the spirit of patriotism along with sports. An attempt has been made to connect Saina's game with sports and patriotism. Many of his dialogues show in such a way that sportsmanship and patriotism have been shown together. It is shown in the film that what her parents dream for a girl child when her mother slaps Saina after seeing her happy becoming the runner up, the parents' dreams suddenly become a burden on the child. Although the effort to justify it is reasonable.
The film moves consistently, gets stuck somewhere, goes on even if there are no scenes. After the interval, it seems like a pause at some places, but Amol Gupte does not allow the audience to get up from the theatre by creating a feeling of patriotism in the middle.
